Area Service Opportunities
Service is one of the ways many members deepen their recovery and stay connected to the program.
It’s an opportunity to give back what’s been freely given, whether that’s by helping a meeting run smoothly, supporting other members, or making sure Al-Anon is available to all people who need it. You don’t need special skills or experience to get started, just a willingness to participate.
Area service is a step beyond the group level. While group service focuses on supporting a single meeting, area service connects and supports many groups across a region. It’s where communication, coordination, and shared decision-making happen, helping ensure that Al-Anon remains accessible, consistent, and guided by its principles on a broader scale.
